Daman Game - Responsible Gaming

Daman Game responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

Responsible gaming starts with a simple commitment: only spend money you can comfortably afford to lose. At Daman Game, we want every player to enjoy our platform as entertainment, not as a source of income or a way to solve financial problems. Before you deposit via PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM, decide on a fixed weekly or monthly budget, for example ₹500 per week, and treat that amount like a cinema or event ticket: once it is spent, the session ends.

Never chase losses. If a session goes against you, resist the impulse to top up your wallet to "win it back." Chasing losses accelerates spending far beyond your original budget. Similarly, keep gambling completely separate from essential expenses, rent, utility bills, groceries, and SIP investments must always be funded first. A practical tip: use a dedicated UPI ID or a prepaid wallet with a fixed balance for Daman Game deposits so your primary bank account stays untouched.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling develops gradually and is not always obvious from the inside. Common behavioural signs include spending more time or money on Daman Game than planned, hiding activity from family, borrowing money to fund gameplay, or returning to the platform immediately after a loss to try to recover it. Emotional signs include feeling anxious or irritable when you are not playing, using gaming to escape stress, or experiencing guilt after sessions yet continuing anyway.

Financial warning signs are often the clearest: unexplained gaps in your PhonePe or GPay transaction history, unpaid bills, or credit-card advances taken specifically for deposits. If you recognise three or more of these signs, use the limit and self-exclusion tools below or contact a support helpline. Early recognition makes recovery significantly easier and less disruptive to your finances and relationships.

Deposit, loss and time limits

Daman Game provides three practical controls you can activate from your account settings at any time. A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your wallet per day, week, or month, for example, setting a ₹1,000 weekly cap means no further top-ups via PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM are accepted until the period resets. A loss limit halts gameplay automatically once your net losses for the chosen period reach the threshold you specify, preventing a single bad session from wiping out a large sum.

A session time limit sends you a reminder and, if you choose, logs you out after a set number of minutes, useful if you play during lunch breaks or late at night when judgement tends to slip.

Increases to any limit take 24 hours to take effect, giving you a cooling-off window to reconsider. Reductions, however, apply immediately. We recommend reviewing your limits monthly alongside your UPI spending summary to ensure they still reflect your actual financial situation.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

If limits alone are not enough, Daman Game offers two stronger options. A cool-off period locks your account for a short break, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, during which you cannot log in, deposit, or play. This is useful when you feel your gaming is becoming habitual but you do not want a permanent break. A self-exclusion is a longer, more serious commitment: choose 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or indefinite, and your account is fully suspended for that entire duration with no option to reverse it early.

To activate either option, go to Account → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion and follow the three-step confirmation process. Once confirmed, any attempt to create a new account during your exclusion period will also be blocked. If you have self-excluded, we strongly advise removing saved payment methods from PhonePe and GPay to reduce the temptation to open a new account elsewhere.
